The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Fighters Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, demons, and dark forces growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of heroes who will separate from the central cast to begin their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group knows exactly where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his own means, invading the secret base, assaulting the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each character has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the region and cautions that it is a nasty place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to execute the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could enable the team reach locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The healer defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them few options but to journey toward Timmony in search of Casimir.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight players to form the Seekers and Strategists parties.

Fans can expect learning which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
